Program Details
Since 1912 Liberty Mutual Insurance has been dedicated to helping people
live safer more secure lives. Fire safety and fire education have long
been a pillar of that mission and we are proud to further community
awareness through the Fire Safety Pledge.
Launched in 2009, the Fire Safety Pledge program aims to help local
communities earn valuable monies for their local fire departments by
demonstrating their fire smarts and their commitment to fire safety at
home. Community members take the Pledge quiz, credit their quiz to
their local fire department, and then rally their community to do the
same. At the end of the Pledge period, the ten fire departments with
the most credits each earn a $10,000 award.
To date, Liberty Mutual has given away $200,000 to twenty fire
departments from across the country. These departments have put the
money to good use, purchasing vital equipment, updating existing
equipment, and continuing the training of the brave men and women who

Our 2011 Pledge program closed on October 31st and winners are currently being tabulated. Check back mid-November for our winner announcement.
